Community Guidelines

Cruise Companions Club

Cruise Companions Club is a friendly, respectful community created to help people connect and enjoy cruising together. These guidelines exist to keep the space welcoming, safe, and enjoyable for everyone.

By being part of this community, you agree to follow these guidelines and treat others with courtesy and respect.

1. Be Kind and Respectful

We’re all here for connection and shared experiences.

Please:

  • Be polite and considerate in all interactions

  • Respect differences in age, background, culture and opinions

  • Communicate honestly and kindly, even if you disagree

Cruising is meant to be enjoyable — and so is this community.

2. Keep Conversations Appropriate

Cruise Companions Club is about friendship, companionship, and shared travel experiences.

That means:

  • No harassment, bullying, or aggressive behaviour

  • No offensive, hateful, or discriminatory language

  • No explicit, graphic, or inappropriate content

If you wouldn’t say it comfortably in a friendly group onboard a cruise ship, it probably doesn’t belong here.

3. Be Clear About Your Intentions

Everyone joins for different reasons — and that’s okay.

Please:

  • Be honest in your profile about what you’re looking for

  • Respect other members’ boundaries and preferences

  • Accept a “no thank you” gracefully

There is never any obligation to continue a conversation or meet someone in person.

4. Put Safety First

Your comfort and safety come first — always.

We strongly recommend:

  • Taking time to get to know people before meeting

  • Keeping communication within the platform until you feel comfortable

  • Booking and paying for your own travel arrangements independently

  • Never sending money to another member

If something doesn’t feel right, trust your instincts.

5. No Scams, Solicitation or Pressure

The following are not allowed:

  • Asking for money, gifts, or financial assistance

  • Promoting businesses, services, or affiliate links

  • Pressure to meet, share contact details, or share accommodation

  • Any attempt to deceive or manipulate others

These behaviours will result in immediate action.

6. Use the Tools Available to You

You’re always in control of your experience.

You can:

  • Stop responding to messages

  • Block another member

  • Report behaviour that concerns you

If you’re unsure about something, you can also contact our support team for guidance.

7. Content Moderation

We reserve the right to:

  • Remove content that violates these guidelines

  • Suspend or terminate accounts that breach community standards

  • Take action without notice in serious cases

These decisions are made to protect the community as a whole.

8. A Final Word

Cruise Companions Club is built on trust, kindness, and shared enjoyment of cruising. Most members are here for the same reason you are — to connect, share experiences, and enjoy the journey.

Let’s keep this a place where everyone feels welcome, safe, and respected.

Thank you for being part of our community.
